Well yesterday was a trip to Doctor's Office but actually it was the Nurse Practitioner that saw me.
I had been experiencing Siactic Nerve pain down my right leg since July.
It got better from the initial onset but I still have pain when I get up & walk.
The Nurse Practitioner prescribed a muscle relaxer and physical therapy along with regiment of Tylenol.
My visit to x-ray was ordered too.
I have the results already.
Good news is there is no fractures or large deformities!
However, the x-ray of the lower back shows disc height loss and facet arthritis which isn't all that rare in a 67 year old overweight senior citizen.
It looks like the course of treatment will be the physical therapy as soon as that department set me up with appointments.
The muscle relaxer first dose has me wondering if I should take it. I have weaken control when trying to get up from a seated position and feels some heat in the legs.
I think I felt better without it. Plus it says to use as needed.
