2/10/2026 Road Trips...

I love to visit new places & towns. I learn some of the history and stories, feel the ground and capture the spirit. Then, I’ll turn it into my own story that will live inside my history to carry with me always... Because stories are more important than things." I drove that 435 miles just to grab my registration & license for my Ryker 900 three wheeler. I found the closest one in Caruthersville, MO but the hotel I stayed in when I had to get a crucial document was in Hayti,

2/9/2026 Motorcycle Life...

I get so bored of people saying riding a motorcycle is so dangerous. I have been laid up since actually July of last year and it has nothing to do with a motorcycle. You think that everyone who's in a wheelchair did themselves in on a bike? Nope! You think no-one ever died in a car accident? A girl I know got a bad back troubles one day, six months later she was said to have felt like throwing herself off a cliff. When the realization that I've lived my life locked in a cupbo

2/7/2026 It's A Lifestyle...

Well I fell off the healthy lifestyle train that I was riding some years ago... actually with my first baby. The train went on down the tracks full speed ahead and by the time I dusted myself off we could not even see it.   So I drank diet cokes and coconut cream pies & had big fat chicken fried steaks covered in gravy while I waited for it to come back.   I learned that the train does not come back unless it has passengers to pick up. I just bought a ticket and have committe

2/6/2026Life...

Boy I have had quite the day a year ago. I had hoped to have more than 485 miles on my machine by now but life happened. miles on my machine by now but life happened... A year ago I was wanting to make my Ryker legal to ride... so I drove 400 miles up to the closest Missouri DMV. I thought it would be an easy task and I'd be back in Southern Mississippi by nightfall! However to my surprise I did not have a certificate of Origin with the help of the clerk at Carthersville, MO

2/5/2026 Part Are Here...

Whoopie I'm got my accessories for my Ryker "Road Romper"... 900 ACE is starting to look like me. Praying the fun will begin in the very near future! Windshield... More Comfortable Seat... Rear Trunk... And Side Box... Now if this Sciatica would just go away as fast as it came on, I'll be jumping for Joy! Nana

2/4/2026 I'm Proud...

I love my family... As a voting American I have my own opinions but rather than going political. I feel that I am just proud to be an American. We know that it all started in early times with explorers sailing the ocean blue. So it is said in 1492 Christopher Columbus right or wrong was given the honor of finding the Americas. Brave men and women settled & survived the harshest conditions of a wilderness country. Settlements multiplied which lead to a chain reaction in which

2/3/2026 Just Wait!

When you as a couple are dating everyone says just wait until your married as if marriage is a burden. However, I feel those people have it wrong. It's not as if the “ just wait  until…” scale seems to be sliding further and further away no matter how long you’ve been married. My husband, Carl, and I were married for almost 36 years. I am determined to tell anyone who will listen just how amazing marriage can be! Marriage is a gift from God! Just wait…  until your wife hatche

2/2/2026...ICE

I do feel bad that Alex Pretti died. Not because what he did was justified. It was not. He was in the wrong. I feel bad because he was led to believe that interfering with police like this was acceptable. It is not. That is not protest. That is illegal conduct. Instead of standing on the sidewalk and protesting from a safe distance, he entered the street, confronted federal agents, and physically interfered with an active enforcement action. During the struggle he was disarme

1/30/2026 Heading Down Gulf Coast...

Beaches as far as you can see along Hwy 19. Rich histories of these communities. For instance Tarpon Springs, a city on central Florida’s Gulf Coast. Greek eateries line waterfront Dodecanese Boulevard, locals say it is a legacy of the Greek sponge divers who settled here in the early 1900s. Along the water, the Historic Sponge Docks are a reminder of the once booming industry. The 1940s St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church has stained glass and a Grecian marble altar.

1/29/2026 From My Travel Journal!

In 2020 I needed another day off road to recharge and enjoy the roses. I found a quint little town of Perry, FL. They had a town of friendly people and proved to be a great place to stay another day and enjoy the sunshine. It's not like I had to be anywhere right then so there is where I planted myself for some relax time. My talking with the locals had me on top of the features of this community. Perry is tucked into the Big Bend region, or better know as Florida's Nature Co

1/28/2026 Deep Thoughts

Today is a busy day so my philosophical wanderings had to be delayed which got me to thinking about life". “There is not one big cosmic meaning for all; there is only the meaning we each give to our life, an individual meaning, an individual plot, like an individual novel, a book for each person.” Maybe it’s because of the recent popularity of “True Detective” or our culture's aversion to religion, but there’s been a lot of discussion about life lately -- the meaning of it, t

1/26/2026 The Castles...

It seems the Castle build is making a come back. Over the last decade I have seen several Castle builds around the country. In fact there is one such structure in Florida. You can visit the home, galleries and workshop of internationally renowned artist Howard Solomon. Tour the Castle, walk the beautiful nature trails and enjoy a delightful lunch at their Boat in the Moat Restaurant. A Day Well Spent! While the number of people who still live in castles is small, their presen

1/25/2026 Sea Invasion...

The coastal scenery beckons me closer today as we roll along. As I pull into the one of the beaches approaching Port St. Joe, FL, I envision a scene that must happen as the sun shine happily on the cool, rippling surface of the sea. Like us... those in their cars drive towards the nearest parking space like they would never have another chance to see this exquisite scene. Their children I sure would be the first out, and they run frantically towards the sea, as if competing f

1/24/2026 Better To Enjoy Than Wonder What If!

I left my warm comfortable home because my philosophy in life is "Better an Oops than a What If". I found out "Life was meant for good for great adventures. "This month has be fabulous moments exploring new territory... From driving around & seeing the sights, to great conversation with my daughter and good cooking for suppers on the range. I'm grateful at the hospitality & world they graciously shared with me. I will never forget this journey. It will be hard to leave but

1/27/2026 Life Isn't Always Smooth But Let It Roll...

Well, maybe between the hard times things can be enjoyable times like this week & year. I've had a blast resting & eating breakfast at my hotel with the rest of the day vegging in front of the TV watching movies galore. 😂 Then though this year I couldn't climb my butt on my Trike, I can enjoy the North Florida temps even though it has been cold for Florida standards. Hotels prices were not too bad so I rolled into a Days Inn in Marianna, Florida to enjoy pampering myself fo

1/23/2026 Another Winter Excursion

2026 began with a revised toy hauler plan. I had a great times over the last few years from the digs I scraped together for the first winter excursion to Florida. It began with bare minimum thrown together to boondock. An 8ft. sleeping area with two small beds with a walk way between and a garage area in the rear. After... Then I added new e-track with wheel chocks and tie-downs and rubber mats. Plus revamped bunk beds situation with Harley Davidson bedding/sheets, comforters

1/22/2026 Memories

As now an old lady trying to live my best life I have come to an issue with my own child. I have tried to understand just how our family got to a point where Love & Devotion to them got forgotten & memories are distorted. A talk with an expert in the field of Children Psychology has explained that children's memories are often inaccurate and reconstructive, easily distorted by emotions, suggestions, or later information, leading to "false memories" where they recall events th
