6/14/2026 Freaky Moment

Things happen sometimes and we have no explanation. Today I could not stop the memories. You see on June 14, 2005, my sister died. She was my older sister and a second mother rolled up into one for me. I still love and miss her to this day! As the memories continue to rush in, I can never forget that a little over a week later that year... on June 24, 2005 (Friday) became my "Freaky Friday"! My husband and I was returning from our trip to Jefferson City, MO because I had the

6/13/2026 Smile It's Your Day!

The most powerful hand clasp is the new born baby's hand around your little finger. Yep I "had" it from the very first moment of my children & grandchild birth. I love being a Grandma even though the gray hair look is my style nowadays. The other day I ran across this an ‘old timers’ version of ‘My Favourite Things’ from the legendary movie ‘Sound Of Music’. Some witty person has adapted the lyrics to give us all a giggle. Can't wait to show this to the kids. Grandpa woul

6/12/2026 Today's Motivation

Be A Winner Today... There are numerous examples of people throughout the world who have overcome handicaps to achieve great success. One thing separates these winners from those who fail: they disregard any and all obstacles. These people-and all winners-possess the will to win. It's a will that starts with a belief in our ability to achieve the goals we dream of accomplishing. Something to ponder... When I Whine By Red Foley Today upon a bus, I saw A lovely maid with golde

6/11/2026 Life Since COVID 19...

Kinda the way I feel about the status of the world today. All the social distance yet. Some missed times with family and friends. Hugging the kids and grandkids. One thing the Coronavirus-19 has taught me is "Life’s sloppy...You think you know how tomorrow’s going to be, you’ve made your plans, everything is set in place, and then the unimaginable happens. Life catches you by surprise. It always does. However, there’s good mixed in with the bad. It’s there. You just have to r

6/9/2026 Slow Day

Not a lot happening these few days but trying to stay inside with back giving me fits. My feat yesterday was make a run to Buffalo, Missouri. I an so used to the huge super center Walmarts that when I stopped at the Buffalo store, I had to say “excuse me” every five seconds to avoid running into someone. It was a weird experience. Buffalo, MO Store Everyone was nice but nothing looked right. Hardware was almost in the shoe section. Not much frozen foods but a small standing c

6/8/2026 Humor Is Good!

Tow truck drivers are a big help when we need them. They provide many helpful services for drivers, including emergency roadside assistance, vehicle recovery (stuck in a ditch, mud, or body of water), traffic collision quick-clearance, storm damage clearance, community training programs for law enforcement, emergency responders, and fire departments, and so much more. This makes tow truck drivers much more than just towing operators. And with such a high level of responsibili

6/7/2026 Turtles Everywhere!

The last few weeks I'v seen zillion turtles along the road. The turtle is a symbol of endurance and persistence in many cultures. The turtle also symbolizes the Earth in many cultures, such as Native American legends. The turtle is traditionally a symbol of perseverance and resilience. Fables, such as "The Tortoise and the Hare," rely on these symbols to show the value of perseverance. According to the University of Houston, the turtle can symbolize creativity, endurance, str

6/6/2026 Throwback Pictures Day...

Embarrassingly Retro Styles & Trends We Used to Love A lot of those old childhood photos are funny to look at now and wonder how in the world we ever thought they were cool way back when. Whether you once rocked a mullet or never went a day without wearing your neon green and pink sneakers, old trends like these are perfect for being resurrected for a good laugh. Look at my hair style then... Sister time with my rockin bell bottoms... 1970's The Gremlins Invasion... The purpl

6/5/2026 Thoughts

We all have times in our life that we wonder if we could be happier. In fact we can... You can make your life happier. It is a matter of choice. It is your attitude that makes you feel happy or unhappy. You meet various situations every day, and some of them may not contribute to happiness. However, we can choose to keep thinking about the unhappy events, and we can choose to refuse to think about them, and instead, think about and relish the happy moments. All of us go throu

6/4/2026 Peaceful Moments

Is there anything more peaceful then taking in the quiet beauty of the setting sun? As the sun descends below the horizon, creating romantic shades of red and orange across the sky, the world has a chance to breathe in and rejuvenate. While sunsets are a literal end to a day, they've also become symbols of peace, harmony, and the promise of renewal. Sunsets are a great reminder to rest and reset our hearts and minds at the end of each and every day. Hope you have a wonderful

6/3/2026 Vacations!

I returned last week from an amazing three days in Oklahoma. Once I gather my thoughts and pictures I will share some tips and tricks for making the most of a trip to visit the beautiful green or sandy twisty road of Oklahoma. Until then, I’m just needing a vacation from my vacation. Doesn’t it work like that? Vacationing with full agenda really puts a limitation on how relaxing a vacation can be. Fun times? Busy times? Crazy times? Time spent lounging and recharging? Nope.

6/2/2026 Life On This Spinning Ball

When traveling through life, you’ll meet some of the world’s most inspirational people. They are people who travel, write, create art, volunteer, ride motorcycles & cars, collect antiques or own a resort, doing things that they love. These are ass-kickers and above all, these are genuinely good people who work hard to live life on their own terms. Yesterday I got the pleasure of embarking on a journey... Casting everyday life, bills, any problems or cares away. Meeting up w

6/1/2026 What A Wonderful Time For This Car Geek!

Yesterday I was in 7th Heaven with the Ginnish Book Record Smashed by Tulsa Car Enthusiast in Tulsa, OK this 100th anniversary of Route 66. There were more than 3556 classic cars in an all end all of a parade through downtown Tulsa. I was in heaven seeing those old classic car rumble through the streets. Some of my favorite cars were: All the 57 Chevys & Mustangs! All the classic trucks... And old cars of my father's era... And then the classic cars from my generation Can't f

5/31/2026 Remember...

Today twelve years ago I lost my other half. Grief changes shape but never ends. I realize that grief doesn’t follow the same timeline for everyone. However, It doesn’t ever “go away,” My love for my husband is a journey starting at forever and ending at never. What he means to me has no ending, unless you can understand what forever and infinity really mean. I will take this day and remember his love and the family we created together. Because of him they exist. The love my

5/30/2026Blessed...

Yesterday reminded me how utterly lucky & blessed I am to live and have the home I have chosen. Many people travel long distances with $ investment in having a slice of country, yet all piled up together, with some one telling them what and when they can do something. (Gotta Git Me Some Flying Pigs) For me that is not an acceptable version of paradise. I have peace and quiet, beautiful nature surrounded acres situated within a few miles of the Pomme de Terre River & Lake. A c

In the spring of 1970 my dad introduced me to this little Tote Goat mini bike. The fever began... In the summer of 1972 my dad bought me my first street legal motorcycle. I had found my niche and have ridden in the breeze ever since... Below is my little nephew Shawn sitting on these sweet wheels... Dad checking out my next Honda in 1987... Many bikes later... 5/28/2026 Pants On Women...

On this date in 1923 the US Attorney General says it is legal for women to wear trousers anywhere. Of all the long controversial topics that are still unsettled in 2026—abortion, immigration, etc.—you wouldn’t expect that the way women and girls choose to cover their legs would be one of them. Even in 2026 there still a portion of States considering going back to traditional wear as they refer to women in dress & skirt in school's dress codes. My opinion is trousers first app

5/27/2026 Desire...

Desire is a good thing. Desire is the language of the soul. Desire is how the soul communicates to us – by guiding us toward expansion and growth. As we begin an uncertain 2026 Summer, a few tips: 1)Just open up to how your soul wants to grow and expand. Don’t doubt your desire or dreams. Follow them. 2)Release the grasp of fear and...Embrace the journey to more. 3)Embrace that power. Learn how to tap into the soul’s desires and create what you really want. Our world can be

5/26/2026 Remember Ozark Mountains Gathering

Remembering The Ozark Mountains Gathering (OMG) Motorcycle Rally hosted by Me for 11 years. There would be the final prep, packing & loading up for the departure on a highly anticipated Motorcycle Vacation... Engines would start bright and early on the last few days of May.
