I had to show all the local quirks to a friend that is in town.
One such visit was to a town of Blue Eye that is an incorporated village in Stone County, Missouri.
The population is a whopping 327 or at least it was at the 2022 census.
Blue Eye, Missouri happens to be adjacent to Blue Eye, Arkansas.
Both are incorporated; Arkansas’ Blue Eye is the state’s least-populated city.
You can actually stand with one foot in Arkansas and the other in Missouri.
I've heard that Blue Eye, MO & Blue Eye, Arkansas have a annual reunion of their School classes... Arkansas had an elementary school and Missouri had a elementary & high school. This year it was held on August 31st.
It is said that the clank of horseshoes and the twang of guitars playing gospel music accompanied the chatter of returning friends and families at their Blue Eye Reunion.
All ages attend to enjoy fried fish and fresh baked deserts from local businesses and organizations as well as the music and games that one might see at a fair.
But they say for the most people, the main attraction is the camaraderie of former Blue Eye townsfolk.
The reunion usually starts with a parade that is followed with a horseshoe tournament, a car show and live music throughout the day. There is also an information booth for anyone curious about the affairs of Blue Eye regarding the reunion.
Every year the reunion's parade grand marshal is the class who is celebrating their 50th anniversary.
It is definitely a unique place to visit...
Before we embarked on our adventure to the Blue Eyes we stopped for some "Great Burritos at Braums.
It was a Great Ride with scenic views...
