Yesterday I was pumped up to get stuck... 😅
I arrived on time to my medical procedure with a little help & pickup from my daughter (Sarah), her husband (Dan), & my grandson (Lucas).
The injection(s) took a grand total of maybe 20 minutes and most of that was filling out their forms & sitting in their exam cubicle waiting for my que.
The Doctor came in and said hello, then in medical lingo he described what he was going to do.
Apparently there was a little surprise. I would be getting two injections... One for each side. Whoopie!
I was rolled over to a new bed and Bing... Bong he gave me a numbing agent, did first side which did hurt at first a bit but by the second side everything was good. There was no wait time really. I was rolled out of the theater room and the nurse said she would go get my discharge papers and be right back.
Bing... Bong I was released and we were on our way to Steak & Shake for lunch.
My kiddos & I sat there enjoying the talk, laughter & ambience of the 50's style eatery.
I was a little tinder at injection sites but actually already felt better.
Sarah later escorted me into my hotel room and saw to it I had everything carried inside.
I was bid farewell and was set for an afternoon and night relaxing schedule in the room's recliner.
My eyes were tired by 8pm so I laid down on the bed (a first time I could do that without great pain in months)
I am crossing my fingers that this will last until I can get back from my winter travels.
Now it's gonna be on a massive diet effort but I'm still looking forward to a Snowbird Winter Vacation... Here I Come Mississippi in just a short few weeks! 👏
