It has become painfully clear that Covid-19 is both serious and spreading internationally. Now, we’re simply waiting to see just how bad it’ll get. The picture from America & Italy is not encouraging, with accounts of hospitals struggling to keep pace. The best preventative measure any of us can take at this point is “social distancing”—in other words, sticking close to home, limiting your exposure to large groups of people, and washing your hands thoroughly and often. Basically, before going somewhere, ask yourself whether it could be an ominous tracking shot from Contagion. If we aren’t moving around, the virus isn’t moving around.
I choose to stay home even if I am climbing the walls, and knowing all the new movies have been postponed and in fact we can't go out to the movies, the theaters are all closed.
The good news is, when I was a kid you had four to six channels, and now, you can screen ANYTHING on demand. People I know are watching pandemic movies but I rather watch comedy, drama and romance...
Scary thing is the other day I swear I was watching a movie where a guy coughed and I flinched. A I had the urge to wipe the screen with sanitizer if I had any. One way or another, the pressure shows.
Now we are asked to wear a mask if we go out in public. I can see the reasoning but I am under the impression we are supposed to fashion one ourselves from cloth or bandanas.
One thought that crossed my mind is the situation that might transpire as someone enters the bank or gas station or etc. with these mask over their face. Hopefully nobody gets excited and overreacts.
I am too tired to think about all this for any longer today.
God Bless Your Day...
Nana
