Today was going to be a wonderful day with little chance of rain so I thought I'd get a few things accomplished.
I had to pick up a few bolts and hardware, plus I needed that right side wheel lug nuts swapped out.
I envisioned a smooth process but nope it was a little harder than I imagined.
First place I went to was Walmart because the tires were bought there but I got a surprise. They would not touch them. Said if they broke a stud bolt, I'd have to towed it off the property. (Funny a couple of years ago a Walmart in Oklahoma came out and installed my new tires on my black beauty rig for me)??
Back to current story... they directed me to a local tire shop.
The best the tire shop could do was loosen the lug nuts on the side I needed but would not replace lug nuts that I had brought in.
I would have to do that myself.
Funny I was willing to pay for them to install my new lug nuts and tighten.
How hard could that be.
I guess their policy is they do not install tires even on trailers. What is this world coming to now days.
I'm a female, old & out of shape. Good grief I was willing to pay so I didn't have to do it myself.
Plus I wanted to make sure they were tightened correctly.
Oh well... I did it myself once they loosen the lug nuts a tad no charge... And I mean it was just a tad.
I struggled but got it done. 😵💫
Then the next project was a wash & new fender painting touch up on "Ole' Stretch Sally".
I ran down to the lake boat ramp area. Nobody around. Taped, covered & painted over in the parking at the edge of the pavilion & playground.
Just as I put the last coat on the last fender... here drives in the contracted mowers.
They noticed my project and started down at the farthest point to start their mowing.
I appreciated and thanked them for their thoughtfulness. 👍
It's been a long day & my butt is dragging.
Gonna ride home and fall into my recliner & hibernate!
