Life brings tears, smiles, and memories...
The grandkids always bring tears, smiles and beloved memories because they are growing up so fast and with this COVID-19, I am missing them. I miss the days when they were my little hams.
Sometimes all it takes is a familiar smell or a certain taste to evoke an old memory, making you feel like you are back in time in that moment where it was created.
When I was a kid, mom and dad rented a place for the summer that had pink appliances. On the table was a jar of gooseberries that the landlord had given us for a house warming gift. My mother promptly made a gooseberry cobbler.
Pies & cobblers always bring back that summer and... those pink appliances will forever be etched into my memory.
People say that bad memories cause the most pain, but actually it’s the good ones that drive you insane. Those days when you thought life could get no better. My loves... my first born and my adorable husband.
It did get even better with a second child my heart was complete.
I loved & adored my little family.
Those were the days!
Life moves on and we are forced to adapt to change.
However memories of that time in the universe warm my heart. A time I am glad I lived.
