7/24/2021 Third Day In Kansas Was A Charm...

The third day was a charm. Bikes roared over to Marquette, Kansas to see the Kansas Motorcycle Museum.

The museum was founded in 2003 by motorcycle racer, Stan Engdahl, a town's son of Marquette who died in 2007. The museum features over 100 vintage and rare motorcycles of all various makes and models as well as numerous other motorcycle memorabilia and artifacts. It also includes Engdahl's custom-built Harley Davidson, which he raced from the 1940s to the 1990s.

Jim found his1959 Harley Davidson Panhead...

Just what he needs a Man-Size Rocker! 😂

Marquette, KS is a quaint little town that has a block of late 19th century stores that have been restored and repainted to their original colors. Small in population (641) but big in hospitality.

We strolled down to the ice cream parlor for yummy Ruben & BLT sandwiches & Pepsi. 😂

We found rural Kansas fascinating with history galore. I am finding tons of new things to learn on my daily knowledge quest. The people of Kansas are so welcoming and representative of a "Rockwell Home Town America."

Lovin It!
