"Lack can greatly be the reason for our conscious and unconscious steps in life.
Mind what you lack, move for what is a must and be happy with what you have!"
Happiness isn’t really hard to find but it is kind of difficult to achieve. Right?
You’re probably scratching your head for the right answer to my question because you thought you had it all figured out but it’s never been more clear to me that happiness begins at home.
There’s no better place, no better people to spend your time with than your family. Your family is your home so don’t limit your definition of home to that of a physical structure only.
That’s why there is a big difference between a house and a home because a home is defined by the people living inside it.
Not all houses can be considered a home especially if the people living inside cannot co-exist.
I am lucky to have grown up in a household where everyone lived in harmony for the most part.
My mom and dad were together for more than 41 years until my Mom died in 1982.
Of course it wasn’t perfect but we managed to keep our family intact.
My dad was a complete family man.
He spent time with us on his days off and never passed up on the opportunity to come home when he was working on the road.
In fact he hated being away from his family.
He never drank, gambled or chased any ill repute.
He said many times that he had all he ever wanted with his family and well & maybe... His cars. 😅
Mom may have not lived long enough to see all her grandchildren but she she my oldest daughter born before she died.
She was a happy woman living her 58 years of life to the fullest even when tragedy befell her from childhood.
She was one who always looked for the goodness in the darkest times and rejoiced thankful in the best of times.
As I get older I realize Mom & Dad's upbringing has taught me:
There's no better place, no better people to spend your time with than those you love.
If you're happy at home, you wake up everyday with enthusiasm to face the challenges that lies ahead and the knowledge that you can grab the opportunities that awaits you.
Happiness is the contentment with what you already have... The things and people you love.
I wish for those of you who read these words: To Find Your Happiness Today & Everyday...
