We sampled the hotel breakfast and then we were ready to roll. I set my Google Map app to route us to the back roads and Old 66.
Everything was running smoothly until I was directed down a dead-end very scenic road. I turned around and started off again for it to reroute me. Next few miles I was directed to a walking path. Now I know something is off. I checked the settings on the map and had it was mysterious on the walking mode. 🤪
A quick correction and we were on our way & cooking!
First stop was Heart of 66 Auto Museum in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Jim was in heaven. There were plenty guys there that talked cars for hours.
All that slobbering over the cars worked up an appetite. Next stop was the Historical Rock Cafe in Stroud, Oklahoma.
Their Chicken Fried Steak Smothered In White Country Gravy, Smashed Potatoes, Fried Okra And Texas Toast Hit The Spot! We were even given take home souvenir cups too!
I had planned to make a stop at Seaba Station Motorcycle Museum in Warwick, Oklahoma but didn't realize that Wednesdays was the only day it is closed. 😲
So we buzzed on over to Arcadia's Round Barn.
A fantastic day of rolling Rt. 66... Life is good!
