I have fallen in love with Florida.
I don't mean the over crowded tourist resorts and towns most popular to most. I'm talking inparticular... The Florida Panhandle which is known for its quaint beach towns and interesting attractions, many of which are money-saving and family friendly.
In fact thirteen counties border what is known as the Forgotten Coast, with miles of undeveloped natural beaches, barrier islands, quiet fishing villages, quaint historic districts and popular to the locals of the beach-side cities and towns.
Renowned for sparkling white sands and emerald waters stretching from Pensacola southeast to Cedar Key along the Gulf of Mexico. The Panhandle is indeed one of Florida's best-kept secrets.
Mostly rural, it boasts some of Florida's best beaches and a climate for year-round boating, biking, hiking, canoeing, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, camping and fishing.
Now with Jim's family, friends and now my daughter (Liz) in that vicinity, it holds an even more delight for me. ❤️
Now regrettably, I have my eyes on the weather forecast with news of Hurricane development in the seas approaching Florida at large. 👀😲
Weather monitoring will definitely be in my routine for the coming days. My thoughts and prayers are with them.
God Bless,
Nana
