Over this last few years I have spent many night in Motel rooms. I have ran across a few quick hacks that has
helped in motel rooms. I have developed a list of essential items & items that you can not forget. Then, some solutions if I do forget items while on the road...
For instance...
1. I can clip curtains together with a clothes hanger to keep my room dark.
2. Use a dryer sheet as air freshener for my clothes and the room.
3. Charge my phone with the TV since many hotel TVs have handy USB ports in the back, where I can conveniently plug in a phone cord if I forget the plug charger.
4. Also, I have found a power strip is an essential too. There are often rooms with very few outlets.
5. I have found that I can wrap up leftovers when I eat in my room with a CLEAN shower cap provided by the hotel.
6. I can turn my AC unit into a humidifier by wetting and draping towels or dryer sheets near AC unit with chair or ironing board -- for a nice, soothing breeze.
Ahh, makes the room just like home thing.
Now since the last 12 miles home were in the rain... it's off to the warm shower and vegging in front of the TV.
Home Is A Good Place To Be...
