Not much excitement these days.
After the stay in Palm Beach area I made it to Davenport, Florida yesterday before I called it a day. I'm just trying to make my way back before the rain but I not sure that is going to happen.
To make matters more irritating I was having issue with the cargo door lock. The lock would loosen the small back bolt so I kept tightening it and then if you tighten it too much it would not unlock. I took the bolt out and it almost looked broken off. So I stopped at a Lowe's s store by the highway. When I went inside a female employee offered to help me. Bless her heart she tried to help but was not too knowledgeable. Then she bumped my arm and my original bolt went flying. We tried to find it to no avail. So now I have to find something. 😲 The employee said we normally carry those locks but I think we are out right now. So the only thing now to do is find a new bolt. Well we could not find a bolt short enough in 1/4 20 size so I jerryrigged it & put a nut on what I could find so I could keep it locked since I needed to get back on the highway. I'll fix it better later or just find a new lock in stock.
I'm just feeling a little whipped right now. I'm looking to just find an inexpensive resting stop. This infection is kicking my butt too. So it'll be in my best interest to just stop, rest and be close to a bathroom. I'm ready to get back to my daughter's house and crash!
