We set our clocks yesterday to catch a full weekend of entertainment, shopping and education, at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.
Scheduled this weekend are free equine seminars including clinics by Mississippi horse trainer Michael Gascon. Gascon is a nationally recognized instructor on colt starting and horsemanship known for his skill with un-rideable and un-trainable horses. Known as an accomplished gaited horse trainer for his success with the Paso Fino breed, Gascon has trained everything from ponies to Percheron.
The Trixie Chicks, founded by Shelby Epperson in Missouri and now owned by Kelsey Gascon, returned this year to the Ozark Spring Roundup to share some of their secrets behind their stunning, high-flying riding tricks.
One of my favorites was the Cowboy Mounted Shooting held yesterday and today.
In fact I think we will trek back to catch some things we missed. Looking forward to watching the mounted cowboys shoot the balloons with a winchester rifle.
The most fun I've had off a montorcycle in a long time... Having a blast!
