1/29/2020 Time To Recharge The Batteries...

Needed another day off road to recharge and enjoy the roses. We found a quint little town of Perry, FL. Friendly people and great place to stay another day and enjoy the sunshine.

It's not like we have to be anywhere right now so here is where we planted for some relax time. Talking with the locals had us on top of the features of this community.

Perry is tucked into the Big Bend region, or better know as Florida's Nature Coast area approximately 50 miles southeast of Tallahassee, Florida between Tallahassee and Gainesville, this small town exemplifies the virtues and allures of rural Florida. This is the place for those craving outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and boating. Perry, Florida was "built" by the forestry industry, homage is paid at Forest Capital Museum State Park, south of town on Highway 19. Each year in October, the Florida Forest Festival brings Perry to a halt for a lumberjack show, steam engine displays, arts and crafts, and demonstrations of cane grinding, butter churning, blacksmithing, soap making, along with the World's Largest Free Fish Fry.

Also for the Rednecks it is famous for: Iron Horse Mud Ranch at Perry hosts "Trucks Gone Wild Dysfunctional Family Reunion." If you like huge mega trucks, and driving through the mud on an atv, this place is a goldmine.

Parked in their parking lot to enjoy the hookups at the local library.

Look at the example of the trees!

A beautiful historic lil town to enjoy for a few more hours.
