Staying in a hotel is often one of the perks of traveling.
You don’t have to do anything but check in and of course pay.
Towels and toiletries are provided, as well as a comfy bed with tons of pillows (who sleeps with that many pillows?)

If you are lucky, you may even get free newspapers and a good breakfast.
Well, that’s the theory anyway.
Sometime, it just doesn’t go as planned…
Sometimes I spurge and rent a room at Embassy Suites.
I love to experience their stylish two-room suites with a functioning bar, two giant flat screen tvs with tons of program channels to choose from as you stretch out on the spacious bed or living room couch,

complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast,

plus an added bonus of a too good to be true nightly Evening Reception with complimentary drinks and snacks.

Or... an on-site restaurant if that is to your liking.

Wonderful relaxing Pool, Exercise Room and Lounging Spaces.
For me the last time I stayed at Embassy Suites, everything was grand until I notices the sun going down and the room temperature hovered at 67° with no increase for hours with the heat activated on the thermostat.
The call to hotel management netted a maintenance man who agreed the heat was not working properly.
However, the hotel was booked "full" so no other rooms could be had for the night.
To my luck, I found an extra fluffy blanket that came to my rescue for the night.
Everything worked out in spite of a few setbacks!
Life is Good!
