Hello folks, this is Nana, coming to you from just a few miles north of beautiful, Bolivar, MO.
As I think back about growing up, I realize my father taught me many things.
He taught me to be a person of my word. He taught me to never give up until the job is done.
Everything that made him the man he was, he wanted us to emulate. His morals and standards were high, and he expected us to have those same morals.
Also, among his lessons were carpentry, remodeling and mechanical skills.
In his words, “You need these skills to get by, because there will come a time when you will have to fix your own stuff.“
Over the years, my husband & I did many home remodel projects.
In that time, I have learned many things, sometimes through my own mistakes.
I am sure I will make more before my working ends.
I found the years have taken a toll on the house my husband and I started building in 1994.
I began to refurbish the porch, door and...
And soon the porch light which has rusted over the years. This the the new design I'm going for...
Since a small cover over the porch is in the development stages I am still planing on replacing it with a difference style as shown below for better placement.
More ideas are in the works but they might be postponed until next year since I have so many things to do before my Snowbird Flee!
Busy As Bee... Tootles!
Nana
