Well ya'll, I am alive and still kicking after an eventful 24 hours of rapid pulmonary embolism recovery. Treatments of consistent pokes, needle prick, IV lines strapping me down in both arms, & blood draws to make a vampire envious. I may have even had enough wires stuck to my body & attached to beeping boxes to light up all of Manhattan. All while laying on a hard as a rock slimline exam table-like bed for the first 12 hours of the 24 hour exam room stay. The remaining 12 hours became Heavenly in the swiped hospital bed cramped in the trauma room with only inches to walk in the doorway and around the bed. This gave the bedside commode activities a whole new dimension of acrobatic abilities.
I will say the nursing & care staff were fabulous if you don't count the night shift's couple of nurses from the cast of dumb & dumber insisting on taking blood from my Heparin dedicated line or placing blood pressure cuffs over the IV line injection site.
Now at home, I am on Doctor's orders of complete rest for the next 48 hours and only light work for the next two weeks - two months. Butler "James" will be on duty! 🤪
So... Hulu & Prime TV here I come! 😄
