Yesterday's task was to park the 16' utility trailer before unloading the furniture I had left in my covered pickup bed. Sounded like an easy enough task but not all goes as planned.
As I parked the trailer back into it's usual spot, I needed to raise the Tongue Jack to release it from the ball hitch.
Just as I went to crank it up the handle broke off in my hand. There was no getting that ball hitch off that bumper now. We tried several attempts at stacking enough blocks then using a small Cylinder Jack. The hitch would not budge up.
The final outcome was that I was going to need a new trailer jack anyway so off to population we went to acquire another jack.
Several hours & dollars later we had everything back together with the pickup unloaded.
Now the hard job will be finding a places for everything, then getting the old item back on trailer to go to the Salvation Army Store. The bad news is that rain is in the forecast for days.
Oh well life is never dull!
