What does it mean when you see a cardinal: One thought is that if you are lucky enough to spot a cardinal, you should smile to yourself as cardinals represent deceased loved ones, who are watching over you. According to superstition if you see a cardinal, one of your loved ones wants you to know that they’re watching over you and that you’re not alone. Even if you’ve been feeling as if you’re alone in the world. So if you had a close relationship with an individual who has passed on, you should feel comforted anytime that you see a cardinal outside. It is said if you’re lucky enough to find a red cardinal in your garden, you may want to leave some bird seed outside to attract the cardinal which you’ve spotted to spend more time in your garden. Especially if you believe that the cardinal which you’ve spotted has a connection to a loved one, who has passed on, who you feel a strong connection to. It is suggested you may even want to consider placing a bird house or a bird house in your backyard, to try and encourage your cardinal to spend more time in your garden. So what is the meaning of red cardinal at window? The bird experts sat if you see a red cardinal standing next to an open window, there’s no need to worry as according to superstition seeing a red cardinal at your window can be an omen of good luck. Again seeing a cardinal at your window usually means that someone who has passed on wants you to know that they’re thinking of you and looking out for you. However, according to a darker superstition if you see a red cardinal that is tapping it’s beak against a closed window, someone close to you may pass on. As according to the dark superstition if a red cardinal knocks at a window, it is a clear omen that an individual who you know may die to a fairly short period of time.
However I am reassured that as a red cardinal tapping at a window forewarning of an individual’s death is only a superstition there is no need to panic prematurely if I happen to see a red cardinal knocking on one of my windows.
Well, I am not particularly sure of these superstitions but I'm relatively sure I have one that knocks on my patio door glass every in day seeing his reflection and gets to into fight mode to warm off another male towards his territory.
One upside is he is a beautiful bird and I get to see it him everyday. Whatever else happens or doesn't is of no thought.
