I love deadlines. I especially like the whooshing sound they make as they go flying by. The deadline of getting my monster of a mess house straighten and fully organized by Christmas whooshed on by so fast it made my head spin like a tequila hangover. I decide to save my sanity and concentrate on what I could do and thought of those dear loved ones of mine for Christmas. Most important Right? So my house never got the full attention, just a small tree, pre-lit and nothing else... not a thing, zip of anymore decorations went up and nothing else done. However, the bright side is I have eliminated all the take down tasks of the tree, just pick it up and put in closet. So I am ahead of the game there! I may have stumbled on to something!!! Anyway, I have people giving prayers and kind words but my mind is spinning with: How much pain our families are in with the loss of my son in-law. My daughter and granddaughter's moving back to North Carolina will be a huge task with just a woman, a teen and couple of old geezers to see it through. Boxes to pack and my 16' cargo trailer will be the mule. We will have to help where we can and be there for them during this horrible transition.
My plan is to make lemonade out of lemons and take advantage of opportunity given to us. This Winter's Hiatus may very well be in Asheville, NC and the coastal Carolinas. Not as originally planned but life knows how to throw curve balls. Anyway... For Now, Just Tooting Along Here In Paradise... Nana
