Yesterday's meander lead me to Three Rivers Florida State Park. I understand that in Florida all Corp Of Engineer Lakes are leased and operated by Florida.
Three Rivers State Park is where Florida meets the southwest corner of Georgia, and the Chattahoochee and Flint rivers converge to form Lake Seminole.
I approached the park with interest what the facilities looked like.
However, it was nothing like my home "Missouri" State Parks operation.
I was given 15 minutes to ride around to see the park but was advised I was not to get off the bike or the $3. Day fee would be charged. (I had every intention of just paying the fee but after observing the road ahead I took the offer of 15 free minutes)
The speel was that they have 31
camping sites, visitors can launch from a boat ramp to enjoy some of the best freshwater fishing in the state, or fish from a pier that is left in the camping area.
Other outdoor activities included canoeing, kayaking, sailing, swimming, hiking, biking, picnicking, and wildlife viewing.
It was a pretty lake but... The roads were rough with pot holes throughout the park.
I understand they are still in recovery from 2018 Hurricane Michael... But WOW!
Anyway, I was not really impressed 🤐 but had a wonderful ride with sunshine & 65°!
