2/15/2020 A Month Out Of The Nest...

We' have been wondering now for a full month. It has been an adventure with two telephones biting the dust, a hospital stay, headlight malfunctions, tie down learning curve and vehicle hicups, alligator, lizards and flocks of tropical birds sightings. Not forgetting 4 Blue Angles fly overs... And the most beautiful views on Earth. We are now enjoying 83* weather and the beach... Without the crowds of people it would be "Heaven on Earth" 😎

With map & camera ready I can't forget my lighthouse fetish... Right up Pompano Beach is Hillboro Inlet Lighthouse.

The octagonal iron pyramidal tower was built by a Chicago steel firm for the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. After the fair it purchased by the U.S. government, Russell Wheel and Foundry of Detroit, Michigan completed the metal work for the structure in 1907. It was then disassembled and moved to Hillsboro Inlet.

It played an important part in history with sightings of German U-boats.

It has been fun... Cruising around Florida...

Whatya know Lowe's gave us some free lumber to fix a wheel chock issue. All is good here in paradise.
