We’ve all visited family, and whether it be in a different state or just down the road it’s hopefully always a good time. Most families have that one comedic family member who might be a little crazy but entertains everyone. There’s the family member that you enjoy hanging out with the most and the one who drives you crazy but you like them anyways. The one above... that looks like an ordinary unasumeing grandfather but a comedian in reality. Definitely kept me laughing harder than I've laughed in a long time.
If your family is anything like mine & this one, then they make the best food when everyone is together. This has been a treat to try some of the country dishes that Cecil has cooked up for us. Southern peas was not exactly the peas I 've been eating all my life. Country breakfasts with cheese grits, eggs , biscuits, bacon and sausage has been my favorite part.
Simply hanging has been a blast. Meeting their adult children, and grandchildren has been as entertaining as watching the original version sitting in his easy chair. I am enjoying all the conversations swirling at once.
Talking about their memories and realizing I am making new memories for them and myself at that very moment.
This journey has definitely held a lot of unexpected adventures and guaranteed a ton of memories.
My words of advice: Life is short so take the time to live and make memories.
