During the Covid-19 Pandemic we are asked to refrain from gathering in groups of more than 10. This has affected many churches across the USA and World. Let us find ways to adapt and worship even if it has to a solitude thing for the coming day.
As I sit pondering the religion and faith in these times I have begun to realize that in the day-to day trenches of adult life, there is actually no such thing as atheism. There is no such thing as not worshiping. Everybody worships. The only choice we get is what to worship. And the compelling reason for maybe choosing some sort of god or spiritual-type thing to worship or some inviolable set of ethical principles—it's that pretty much anything else you worship will eat you alive.
If you worship money and things, if they are where you tap real meaning in life, then you will never have enough, never feel you have enough. It's the truth.
Worship your body and beauty and sexual allure and you will always feel ugly. And when time and age start showing, you will die a million deaths before they finally bury you.
On one level, we all know this stuff already. It's been codified as myths, proverbs, clichés, epigrams, parables; the skeleton of every great story.
The whole trick is keeping the truth up front in daily consciousness.” No matter the circumstances of the world today may we all find peace with a personal faith not needing of others to verify our beliefs. We can persist and triumph against all odds especially with all the modern techno abilities today. Call, email, Skype, text, or web surf with your fellow humans.
We are all partners on this ball called Earth. Worshiping can be done in many ways... Let it begin!
