3/8/2023 Spring In Southern Mississippi...

I love the flowers brightly blooming... The warm days and paradise of the USA Southern Riviera.

It's also been fantastic to relax on the 26 miles of white sand on Biloxi Beach...

Then I have hopped on the bike to see all the city’s historic sights. A few days ago I enjoyed exploring the city’s history through the Biloxi Lighthouse...

I've been ready to gamble (however not a big betting person) but I still love those casinos. Biloxi is known for their resort casinos full of entertainment, great food, shopping, table games, and slot machines. 🎰

While Biloxi, MS is known for its beaches, restaurants, amazing community, and so much more. Well, you can also note a few famous folks to the list!

Jessica Alba

You may know her from movies like “Fantastic Four” (2005) or “Valentine’s Day.” You may also know her from around town. She called Biloxi “home” for three years as a kid and is now a Hollywood mainstay.

George E. Ohr

One of the oldest celebrities from Biloxi and beyond is none other than “The Mad Potter of Biloxi,” George E. Ohr himself. His ceramics pieces were widely unknown in his time, but have since earned international notice and acclaim. Sadly, he passed away in 1918, before he could see his works reach an appreciative audience.

Eric Roberts

This Biloxi native is related to Julia Roberts! He’s her brother, but he also has a few great roles to his name. IMDB lists 571 of them! You might have seen him in “Grey’s Anatomy” or “Head Full of Honey.”

Fred Haise

Fred Haise isn’t just a superstar—he’s also seen the stars! This astronaut is Biloxi born and raised, but he sure went far. In fact, he was even on the Apollo 13 mission in 1970.

Natasha Tretheway

Readers, we can’t forget you! Did you know two-time poet laureate Natasha Tretheway was born just 20 minutes away from Biloxi? She’s from Gulfport—and by the way, she also won a Pulitzer Prize!

Laura Bailey

Even if you haven’t seen her face, you’ve probably heard her voice! This famous actress has voiced a wide array of animated characters in television series like “Dragon Ball Z” and “Avengers: Assemble” and video games like “The Last of Us” and “Uncharted: The Last Legacy.”

Jimmy Buffet

If you’ve spent time at the shore, you’ve absolutely heard the iconic beachside tunes of Jimmy Buffett. “Margaritaville,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” and “Son of a Son of a Sailor.” He was born just a half an hour away from Biloxi in the town of Pascagoula.

“The Best Things In Life Are Worth Waiting For”

Gotta love this time - space here on the Southern Rivera... Having A Wonderful Time!
