Yesterday's ride was an spur of the moment planning to enjoy the beautiful sunshine day.
My friend and winter host (Duane) thought he had depleted all the places of interest over the several years of riding with me in his home territory.
I said pick a place to stop or wait until we see something of interest and the ride will fall into place.
Sure enough we rode down to see Biloxi Beach and spotted a huge regatta of small sailboats in the bay. The photos just did not do justice to the sight.
We stopped in the first place we could park and raise our cameras.
We witnessed an unusual sight for me anyway... A nest of seagulls.
Of course we had to get our own mugs in a photo or two! 😂
Then out stomachs took over. Steak & Shake sounded like a good idea. However, the only one in the area was in Harah's Casino. I was A-OK with it because I'm always up for a burger & penny slots. 😁
However since it was a casino we could throw out the thought of their normal menu & prices.
We still opted for & enjoyed a beef frank & fries... Mine included chilli & cheese.
We enjoyed the leisurely conversation and penny slot entertainment for the next couple of hours.
I had a good laugh when the clock ticked away the time for us to get back to the road. Daune had gotten his machine back up to 99¢ from the dollar he was playing on. I thought it would be funny for him to report back to Vicki (his wife) that he had only lost a penny. 🤣
Well to our surprise the cash machine would not give change under a $.
It spit out another ticket to redeem across the huge casino at the cashier booth or you could put it back in the slot machines. We did as they wanted us to do... and put it back in the slots. Yes we both walked away with the complete $1. loss! 🤣
The day & ride turned out to be an enjoyable & extraordinarly great day at the beach!
