Starting the month of May off right, we tracked down to Dauphin Island, Alabama which is three miles south of Mobile Bay in the Gulf of Mexico.
We caught the Mobile Bay Ferry which crosses the beautiful Mobile Bay, Alabama and connects SR 193 at Dauphin Island on the west side with SR 180 at Mobile Point on the east. It is considered “the Gulf-Coast’s Most Scenic Drive”, the ferry saves travelers hours of driving time plus the high cost of fuel by providing a travel link across the mouth of Mobile Bay. The trip between Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island and Fort Morgan at Mobile Point provides wonderful views of the two historic forts that have long guarded the entrance of Mobile Bay. The trip took approximately 40 minutes and was a great way to view historical forts, birds, sea life (dolphins in the distance) and other boats and ships.
The sun came out with the Fort Morgan visit & return ferry ride...
Then if it wasn't already a fabulous day, we drove over to Pascagoula, MS to try Bozo's Too... They have one of the best PoBoy Fish Sandwiches that I've ever had and OMG the fried green tomatoes with their special Cajun Cream Sauce was to die for too! Hands down one of the best eats for anyone in the area! 😛
Absolutely A Great Day In The Neighborhood!!!
