5/10/2022 The Story...

Classic car are a little slice of history that tells the story of its manufacturer and the zeitgeist of its launch date and... those individuals who owned them. Also, there’s a story of how these individual vintage car survived the years, including the many hands it may have passed through.

Recounting the history of a vintage car can be like describing the history of your family tree. The story can also be a story of a time and a place.

I wonder about this one! Where has it been? What adventures has it seen?

Cadillac has always been one of the most proud luxury cars of the American people. I believe this is the second-generation DeVille belonging to the Series 62 series, which was produced between 1961 and 1964.

This Cadillac has a very design sense of a era, with a wrap-around front windshield design, and the A-pillar also has a small curve. Passengers in the back seat have a better view space, and a pair of tails stand above the huge and slender tail box, as if the rocket is ready to take off at any time.

I find the appeal of vintage cars goes beyond the merely practical and into the semi-philosophical. Vintage cars are about an idea. They appeal to nostalgia for a simpler time, which can be attractive in an increasingly complex time. And many hobbies are, after all, a small slice of escapism. For me I can see the classic car appeals as a physical token of lost days.
