Hands down one of our best travel experiences was when I was 14 years old.

My family spend 12 days driving across the United States.

We saw unparalleled beauty and were in a constant state of awe as we drove through incredible landscapes.

There were days where we were surrounded by lush waterfalls, lava like fields covered in moss, all the way to snowy, white capped mountains.

Every day was so unique and diverse which made it honestly one of the best road trips that we had ever done.

My lust for travel I am sure came from my father.

He always said he was a Maker Of Roads for a reason and they should be taken.

(He literally built highways for a living)

Roads will lead you to the world.

Plus, remember you will be looking through the windshield not the review mirror. Surely a lesson for life.

However, at first I just felt:

“A road trip was a way for the whole family to spend time together and annoy each other in interesting new places.”

As I became of age I followed my father's footsteps and sought out the world.

I have tried to pass this on to my children.

Well... I am pretty sure at least one of my children has inherited the family's travel lust.

My life's motto has been making memories one road trip at a time.

See You Along The Road...
