5/31/2025 A Day Never Forgotten...

Eleven years ago today I watched & held his hand as he died.

He was my heart, my other half, at times irritating but my best friend, companion and love of my life.

My grief may changes shapes but never ends.

I realize that grief doesn’t follow the same time line for everyone.

However, to be honest it doesn’t actually ever “go away!”

My love for my husband is a journey starting at forever and ending at never.

What he means to me has no ending, unless you can understand what forever and infinity really mean.

I will do my best to take this day and remember him and the family we created in absolute love together.

Because of him our girls & grandchildren exist.

Our love for him still flows through all of our hearts.

Our minds think of all the laughter and happiness he brought to us.

We will try not to cry but instead rejoice in the time we got share with him.

I will honor & think of him today over his favorite foods.

Who could forget his favorite response "I only like two kinds of Pie... "Hot & Cold!"

So yes there will be Pie In Remembrance!
