Yesterday got back my old pal Red Bud. I had suspected that their was rear-end problems. I finally got my regular guy, who I trustey with mechanics of anything, to take a look. We replaced the axle bearings and the gear shop was able to take the lash up. It runs fine as punch back there now. However, it all may be for nothing. We found that with everything cleared up there... I still have a noise in front engine area. My fear now from scouring the YouTube videos is that rosey has worn gear forks. If that is the case the prognosis is bad. I have already spent my wad and more on her now. So things will have wait until I sell my house to finally decide where or what to do. I do not know how far the road will lead for us.
Kind of a big hurt to say goodbye. :-(
