5/6/2023 The Brits Crown Their King & Queen...

Updated: May 7, 2023

In the wee hours of central time I tuned into BBC America for a live view of King Charles III Coronation.

You might asked why would an American care to watch the British Opulent Pageantry.

The answer is that I am deeply fascinated with history and understand the uniqueness of the event.

I understand that First lady Jill Biden was sent in attendance to this event.

For me, it was a perhaps an opportunity of a life time to actually get to view the ceremony of King Charles III

officially assuming the throne in a deeply religious ceremony, eight months after the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II.

There were more than 2,000 guests who attended the British monarchy’s 39th coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey.

In retrospect I also knew that I would have otherwise never seen the inside of Westminster Abby in my wildest dreams. This granny was all eyes & ears for a glimpse of this world historical ceremony.

Our country has no such traditions and can't forget a little war that made it possible. However, if you look at our Political inauguration ceremonies with each newly elected position, it could be argued that it's all in the same vein.

Kings, Queens, Princes, Princesses, Dukes, Dutches and more are in a world that us common people will only usually read about in fairytale books.

I can now profess I witnessed & watched groggily with my cup of coffee, eager to catch just a glimpse into the World Unknown to me... an event recorded in World History Books.

I can say I felt like I was there via TV. 👑
