6/17/2019 Monday's Memories...

Writer's picture: Nana Nana

In keeping with Father's Day, I am reminded of this story... One Saturday night my mother felt ill, so my father shocked everyone by volunteering to go to the supermarket for her to get the last remaining things for our Sunday Dinner.

You will have to understand my father was completely lost in the kitchen and never ate unless someone prepared a meal for him.

Mother sent him off with a carefully numbered list of seven items.

Dad returned shortly, very proud of himself, and proceeded to unpack the grocery bags.

He had one box of brown sugar, two dozen eggs, three hams, four bottles of dish detergent, five boxes of crackers, six bags of celery and seven green peppers.

Mom & I did not have the heart to say anything to him but laughed to ourselves until we cried.

Hope Everyone Has A Wonderful Monday... and God Bless our Dad's!

Nana
