This year has been the year of extremes...record cold & hot heat. These temperaturesš”ļøare most definitely hotter than the usual June days (97Ā°)
The ancient Romans called the hottest, most humid days of summer ādiÄs caniculÄrÄs" or ādog days." The name came about because they associated the hottest days of summer with the star Sirius. Sirius was known as the āDog Star" because it was the brightest star in the constellation Canis Major (Large Dog).
Well Dog Days Or Not... & Despite the heat we foolishly or insanely "rode" to Springfield/later Branson for some necessary family events. Rather than make multiple trips we hooked a hotel room for a more southern base camp.
Our road stop for supper was the scrumptious "Fazoli's... Italian Food Fast"
They even serve Cheesecake Factory desserts too!
With Hotel, pool, snacks, cold drinks and TV Veggies for Father's Day Weekend. Somebody Is Loving It!
