6/24/2023 Just A Guess...

On the road today but I hope you get your air conditioners and fans ready, because this summer is going to be a scorcher.

The National Weather forecast for Summer temperatures, on average, will be near to above normal through most of North America, but we are to expect cooler than normal temperatures out West across the Rockies and Great Basin and also along the central and southern California coast.

conditioners and fans ready, because this summer is going to be a scorcher.

However, It is said we may be an El Niño effect this which is normally associated with record breaking temperatures at the global level.

El Niño is the warm phase of the El Niño–Southern Oscillation and is associated with a band of warm ocean water that develops in the central and east-central equatorial Pacific, including the area off the Pacific coast of South America.

Whether this will happen in 2023 or 2024 is not yet known, but it is, I think, more likely than not,

It was also said "While a toasty summer sounds fun, it may spell disaster for our drought-stricken nation.

As Meteorologist Todd Crawford noted, in early March, more than 46% of the contiguous U.S. was already classified as in drought, which will not be helped by a dry, hot summer.

There has been tons of rain in sight, but according to the NOAA Climate Prediction Center, which released its own long-range forecasts that foreshadow below-average precipitation in the Southwest and Plains through June."

Ya Right! 🤣

One potential bright spot?

The Weather Channel and National Weather Service & some other weather predictions could and usually are always wrong.

After all, The Farmer's Almanac called for a "soggy" spring in its forecast, stating, "According to their long-range outlook, spring 2023 was to be mild and wet for most parts of the country, with plenty of thunderstorms, especially over the central and eastern states during late April." And it stretched into May Too!

Yep they never even hit the nail on the head.

My prediction is "They'll both be right and we'll have a perfect mix of rain and sun this summer, bringing plenty of rainbows our way. (Hey, I can hope, right?)

Meteorologist have the best job. They can be wrong and still keep their jobs... It just a guess anyway! 😂

Well...Happy Days To Everyone, Keep Cool And Hang On To Those Umbrellas! ☔
