On this date is Summer Solstice. The longest day of the year.
As the sun creeps up over the hills and into your town on June 20, you’ll know it’s here.
That blessed time of year when barbecues and beach trips reign, when work slows and summer holidays mean getting together with friends and family.
Just thinking about it likely brings up the smell of fresh cut grass and the taste of cold lemonade.
Summer Solstice — also known as the first day of summer — has arrived.
This year it has been apparent with 90° and above for quite some time now.
Good or bad the days from this date will now slowly get shorter in 🌞 Sunshine.
Enjoy your summer!
Not so fast... I not done yet... Today is also Ugliest Dog Day!
This day celebrates the pups out there with a face only a mother could love.
But when it comes to man’s best friend, is there really any dog that can’t be deemed adorable?
What started as a fun contest has grown into an annual celebration of the not-so-handsome dogs amongst us. So grab your favorite pup and give him an extra snuggle today and as you go about your day, and be sure to say hi to every pup, pretty and not so pretty.
Hope everyone has a great day no matter the celebration!
