7/1/2023 Wandering The Roads...

I ended out June with a drive to Bristol, Florida which is located in the panhandle of Florida.

Bristol is the county seat of Liberty County and was settled in 1859.

At the time of settlement Bristol had one store, three saw mills, grist mills, a hotel and several churches. However, The CHARTER of the City was established in 1958.

Today Bristol has a population of approximately 1,000 residents.

I've witnessed that Bristol’s residents seemed to be helpful, caring people. Their hard work and the love of our natural resources are their back bone.

Bristol is surrounded by the beautiful Apalachicola River which is the largest river by volume in the state of Florida.

Also, here the Apalachicola National Forest, home to some of the most unique animal and plant species in the world.

Visitors can enjoy tranquil, diverse ecosystems with safe, family-friendly activities such as fishing, hunting, hiking and trail riding.

This area best small city and adorned naure place to visit with their southern hospitality thrown in too!
