I guess we are all set now. A package was delivered just in time. It was a gift from Jim's Insurance Company (2- facemasks).
Good too thing since another southwest Missouri city puts a mask ordinance in place. The Springfield City Council passed the ordinance in an 8-to-1 vote on Monday.
It will take effect Thursday, July 16th and expire in 90 days — unless council changes the date.
Then Walmart has announced that all Sam's Clubs and Walmarts nationwide were requiring masks to be worn in their stores.
In addition another government decision, motorcyclists in Missouri who meet certain requirements soon will be able to ride without a helmet. The bill signed into law Tuesday by Republican Gov. Mike Parson waives the helmet requirement for anyone who is at least 26 years old. Motorcycle riders who don’t wear a helmet also must have health insurance coverage. Riders with instructional permits must still wear helmets.
The change also will mean law enforcement can’t pull over motorcyclists just to check if they’re following helmet laws. The new law takes effect Aug. 28.
For me it won't change a thing. I plan to wear my helmet anyway. My pumpkin head matters to me more than a little helmet inconvenience!
Ok... Back to your regular scheduled programming...
