We headed out from Delta Colorado bright and early to catch breakfast and then a light lunch at The True Grit Cafe in Ridgeway, Colorado which is at the north end of the Million Dollar Highway.
The day would entail some of the most scenic views of our West Journey...
Beginning with White Sands Hill of Montrose, Colorado...
Ridgway, Colorado
True Grit Cafe
After a lunch of Creamy Chicken Pesto Soup, we ventured onward towards Moab, Utah.
We noticed the the town of Bedrock, Colorado which was established in 1883, with the Bedrock post office opening on November 8, 1883.
The town's general store and post office were built on solid rock, hence the name. The general store originally served the ranching community of Paradox Valley and later also served uranium miners in the 1900's.
The general store was built in 1882 and featured in the 1991 film Thelma & Louise.
The scenic roads to Moab, Utah were magnificent!
What a fabulous day on the road to Moab, Utah! 🤠
