7/25/2021 Found Oz...

We followed the Yellow Brick Road and found Oz... Well Ok... Twisted Oz Motorcycle Museum in Augusta, KS!

http://www.twistedoz.com

We were like children in a candy shop. Eyes dancing with joy and mouths salivating all over ourselves! 😂

As we entered the building we were greeted and given their personalized tour and story about the bikes.

One of the motorcycles in there is a Wood motorcycle. It was a gentleman that manufactured one motorcycle, hoping to get into production and never made it. Literally, a one of a kind bike. If I recall correctly, it was made in 1914. Probably the most expensive piece in there is a 1913 Cyclone. There are 6 known to exist. It was put in an auction awhile back, bid was $650,000 and the owner refused the offer. If you enjoy the history of motorcycles, I cannot recommend a better place to check out in the Midwest. It is just a short distance east of Wichita, KS.

Bikes, Bikes & More Bikes!

And... they had a second building!!!

As we left the temperature was approaching 98°!

I felt like the Wicked Witch... I'm Melting!

Also, before the day was over I was wishing I could click my heals together three times and I would be home but... NO! The only way to do it was to fly down the hot highway on our iron horses.

Never was so glad to be home!
