I am a proud American. I took this weekend to celebrate the freedom of this great nation. To celebrate... America’s uniqueness. As an American we enjoy freedoms that do not exist in other countries, such as freedom of speech, religion, the press, and the right to vote, among many others. I pray that we can keep this nation strong.
As a funny lady once said: "You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4th, not with guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism.” – ErmaBombeck
I took this weekend to explore and embrace the beauty around me.
