A start of a beautiful weekend began with an idea to recapture the moment that we missed when I had my flat tire in Lexington, MO.
We had hoped to stroll along the historic streets, envisioning an earlier time. So with this desire we set out for Lexington.
However, breakfast at 254 Cafe was the first thing on the agenda.
The Breakfast Special of two eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, toast & coffee was fabulous! Funny thing is this flyer on the bulletin board would set the stage for what was in store for us later.
First site we found at our Lexington, destination was the battlefield.
After a cooling off in the State Park Visitors Center, we determined that there was too much to see on this one day so we booked a night in the Lex Hotel.
