I remember being 6 and sitting in that kiddie pool in the hot summers. We were scraping pennies but my brother & I were happy as could be.
I'm wishing as an adult to find my very own little pool with these hot days. 😅
Lakes are dirty and carrying no telling what organisms these sun scorching days. The public pools are overrun. Beaches are too far so I would give anything just to enjoy a baby pool.
Don't get me wrong -- kiddie pools are a depressing alternative to real pools. The hose water is freezing, and there's no proper filtration system.
Kiddie pools are a breeding ground for dead ladybugs and little brown things that are definitely rabid raccoon turds. 😳
Once you use a kiddie pool, it's never clean again but.. hey you can dump it out after each use.
I know they're also depressingly small.
(I guess that's whole "kiddie part" about it). Unless you're two feet tall, you can forget the water climbing any higher than your lower thigh.
Face it: Kiddie pools are like a ice cold bath you take outside. And they're the only thing I've got going and it would be all mine! 🤣
Best part is a purchase of a kiddie pool can be used in the privacy of my own home and it can fit no more than 1.5 large adult butts. 😆
Plus it would be soothing for my tired dawgs (feet)
Once you hit thirty my feet can be a constant source of pain.
Also, might be good because we shouldn't have to share toenail bacteria with anyone but ourself.
Just think I can give those feet a break and drown them in some freezing water while burning to a crisp in the sun. 🥵
Another good point is it's a summer-time activity that involves sitting...
Not biking, not hiking, not camping. Good old-fashioned, poisonous for your health, sitting.
Ok... Also, I've got the argument in my head that I am an adult and nobody should tell me what to do!
I can't be "too old" for a kiddie pool. 🤔
I'm going to listen to my heart. Going to go out there, dip my toes in a sparkling new kiddie pool, and taste my own discount paradise.
