8/27/2019 Yehaw... It's Utah!

Updated: Nov 30, 2019

So here we are on another day of epic adventure! We were informed for colossal adventure and geographical drama of Jurassic proportions, we needed to head to Moab, [moh-ab] in Southeast Utah.

The name Moab is a Biblical name for a land just short of the Promised Land. The Moabites were historically regarded as the perpetual enemy of the Israelites, "God's Chosen People." ... Because of those similarities, the little town was dubbed Moab by Mormon settlers in the 1800's.

If the Tigris and Euphrates are the Cradles of Civilization, the confluence of the Green River and the Colorado River is the Youthful (those of heart too)Bike Trailer of the Uncivilization... Yes indeed, the Red dirt, whitewater, and pinkish-orange sandstone are fertile ground for the sowing of wild oats.

We had the choice of picking our poison from the list of activities including hiking, whitewater rafting, or off road biking/ATV Adventure. Since we did not follow the off road idea of burning of various types of rubber, including the spare tire... we just followed the road's scenic vista & views.

Another epic day in our memory book!
