We meandered the Branson movie complex & shops to see what enticed us. We caught glimpse of a beautiful 1932 Chevrolet Master Eagle. Jim just had to see it...
Then one of the last things to do here in Branson was to see "Top Gun Maverick" at the Imax Theater.
I was a little hesitant at first to see a sequel but since it is nearing Jim's birthday I would concede to see it in spectacular viewing while here.
I will have to admit in my opinion "Top Gun: Maverick" is a rare sequel that is not only better than the original but retroactively makes Top Gun's story altogether deeper.
You see I'm a car & airplane buff courtesy of my Daddy. Well to be honest I have been surrounding myself with airplane people all my life. I still have my dad's old pilot log book, my late husband was an airman and let me tell you I 've been to enormous number of air museum over my lifetime. Some of my friends and extended family are Air Force men too. My brother in-law had a unique job as the man from McDonald Douglas (St. Louis) who worked as head of contract production/delivery on the F-4 Phantom, the A-4 Skyhawk, the F-15 Eagle, and the F-18 Hornet... and then delivered them to the military contacts. He had been on numerous aircraft carriers for the last review for prototype and production orders. I am sure if these men were still here, they would have loved the stunts that are actually real... The planes that were real with the actors who were really in the planes! Those scenes can only be described as awesome!
A great sequel and surprise for me. I walked out of the movie realizing I'm glad I conceded to seeing it. I thoroughly enjoyed it myself.
The day was all together tops for me with a Pizza Bar for supper too! How great is that? 👏
