We are having a blast running the back highways of America and loving the scenery.
The day's task was to slip on through the Sandhills of Nebraska.
When most people think of sand dunes, they think of ocean front, certainly they don’t picture Nebraska.
Nebraska is known as flat prairie land, but most people don’t really understand just what a unique place it is in Nebraska. The Nebraska Sandhills cover about a quarter of the state, and after riding through them I believe they are absolutely magnificent.
As we were cruising through we happen upon Carhenge. This is unique replica of the world-famous Stonehenge was constructed of old cars in 1987 by the Jim Reinders family in memory of his father during a family reunion. The site also includes sculptures made of old cars and/or car parts.
Then the last pleasure before finding our hotel was find a sunflower field that stretched as far as the eye could see.
It was another wonderful day for these Iron Monkeys.
