8/9/2025 Sturgis Rally...

It happened last time for me in 2020.

A companion & I descended to the 80th Sturgis Rally on opening day.

However, the first order of business was for a companion & I to stop at Black Hills Harley Davidson in Rapid City. More vendors and people than most rallies in the USA. Bikes as far as the eye could see!

Huge merchandise...

A lot of custom bikes

Tens of thousands of bikers from across the nation rode into the city like us despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was bikes, bikes and more bikes. Streets in Sturgis’ downtown area are reserved for motorcycle parking, and almost every spot was full.

We lucked out and found a few spots close to The Throne!

⬇️Interested Conversation With This Guy!

Yes I released Jim from the conversation restrictions imposed while we travel.

He did get carried away.

Last trip to Colorado in the we checked in our hotel after dark and 2 hours late on the road because he got to talking, talking and talking.

(I do not like to ride after dark in cities I'm not familiar with their roads.)

Normally during the official first day of the Sturgis Rally, there would be opening ceremonies. But due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, that year, they were cancelled.

Yes, we were there that year exercising our freedom and rights.

Especially, when you look at it statically at least 98% of the population does not have COVID-19. "It’s a personal choice and we decided we would take our chances.

We tried to social distance a little bit, giving people their space and I wore a mask in stores and when I was near people."

We tried to distance at least 10 ft. from all the crowds. Considering all the precautions we did enjoy talking to other riders from Oklahoma, California, New Jersey and other places.

Everyone of them said, “I love the riding here. That is the string that seems to binds us together. It is the passion we all have for those Iron Horses.

We Were Living Life Large and All Smiles That Week!
