The morning was definitely foggy but look at that sun climbing into the morning sky. It's going to be a beautiful day.
It was perfect motorcycling weather but I had the task of taking my car into the body shop for them to do their magic on that mishap I encountered some time ago.
In fact I determined objects along side of the road and rain don't mix very well.
The driver's side front quarter panel was the victim. 🚗
However, the good news... I'm getting to drive a Ford Escape as a loaner while they work on my Ford Fiesta.
The surprised was that the dealer did not give me a crash course in all the different controls plus the new bells & whistles. They just drove it up & said go!
It took me a few minutes without even the car manual to find the important things like reverse & drive, which apparently are now on a knob on the panel between the front bucket seats.
The rear window wiper which was already on, was a tiny button on the back side of the wiper stalk.
Then there was the "Push Button Engine Start & Stop" that required pushing on the brake first or the fun button that automatically apply & release the park brake.
The rearview backing up screen was a nice addition. Along with side mirrors that alert you to approaching cars or the startling pre-crash "alarm alert" when you brake hard for some of the idiots who don't know how to use their car blinkers before suddenly stopping or turning.
All in all... I'm loving that little black beauty!
According to the dash instrument panel, I was getting 29.3 mpg on my little journey to Springfield & back home.
I guess that's not too bad of a deal for that soft ride and luxury floating down the road, & me playing with the newly designed gagets.
I'm certainly not in a hurry to get my car back next week. 😂
You know me... if I'm left too long with this new toy, I'll be away on another mini vacation. 🤣
Oh The Fun I Could Have! 👹
Hope Ya'll Have A Wonderful Day!
