11/28/2022 Florida Or Bust... First Day!

The first day of my solo trip went actually better than I expected. I had everything pack and mostly loaded the night before departure. However, the last minute closing up the house duties took a little longer than expected. After airing tires & fueling, I finally got on the road at 10am. šŸ˜² Then I lost my rug mat (Wind Rip It Off) just at the out skirts of Seymour, MO. The rug I had bought back in 2014 to cover the front window of the rig. Oh well... I needed to replace that one anyway. (Corner Was Torn)

I had been a little concerned about the temperature and rain but I was pleasantly surprised as I breezed through the day without a drop of liquid sunshine.

Also, with my prep of three layers of clothing (long underwear - top & bottom, long sleeve shirt, sweatshirt, two pair pants, and heated vest with added winter coat) it was a very comfortable ride. I even had handlebar mitts with gloves on that kept my hands warm. I rocked all the way down to Memphis, TN before my tummy yelled "feed me." Well ya know after you eat it was down hill from there! The sun was falling fast so I just called it a day and got a very comfortable room.

I am so glad I'm riding my "Wing" down this year. My gas mileage was not too bad for pulling a trailer. *First fill-up with 65 mph plus speeds and only yielded 26 mpg. The second tank I slowed it down to no more than 60 mph and reaped 29.1 mpg.

After my free breakfast~I'm ready for Today's Adventure... Later Alligators!
